Still miss these!

Every time A Flyers game rolls around I can only think of one thing......

Just how much I miss the Marty Biron spoofs on WGR! You have NO idea how much joy those silly things brought me! I just tried to search the audio vault but this is the only one I could find.
http://audio.wgr550.com/m/audio/19278361/inside-the-head-of-marty-biron.htm?q=Marty+Biron (Ps...why have I never learned to make a link?)

Anway...does anyone have any of the old marty spoofs saved? The "SexyBack" one was my favorite! hahahahahaha

Awww Marty I still miss you.....but I hope you lose tomorrow.

Drew x2

What a game tonight by the Sabres! Please excuse my stupidity in my previous post. I got the leafs game mixed up with the oilers game. Woops. Moving on.....

My first thought of tonight centers on Mr. Justin Pogge. First home start for this kid all season. You'd think I'd be a little excited for him.....but nope. Not at all. All I could think about were fun nicknames to taunt him with. Lucinda had a good suggestion with "pierogi." I do like those. I do not like him. So I decided to go with POGS for the rest of the game.

Hahahahaha remember those? "NICE SAVE THERE POGS!"

Anywho.....end of the 1st period and the Sabres had a nice 3-0 lead thanks to Drew "I'm not Joey Ramone" Stafford, Dan Paille and Matt Ellis. I don't know about you but I bet you agree with me in saying it should have been a 4-0 lead. Pommers goal definitely should have counted. The net was completely on and I really don't think he made a "forward chest movement." Oh Well.

No highlights for the 2nd period really. The leafs' Paval Kubina scored a power play goal to make the score 3-1.

I know I mentioned before how much I hated VS. Chris Simpson? Really? Could her boobs have been hanging out anymore? Real professional there chicky. Cover those up because I really don't enjoy you interviewing my beloved team looking like that. Ok. Thanks.

3rd period came around and Drew scored ANOTHER goal! YAY!!!!! Finally I get to actually SEE Drew Stafford being awesome and not have to hear it on the radio! Stafford's goal was the game winner and made the final 4-1 Sabres.

Here's my 3 stars of the game.

1. Drew Stafford. 2 goals and setting his personal season high with his 16th and 17th of the season. I hope you get the pigeon tonight again buddy!

2. Ryan Miller. Stopped 26 of 27 shots tonight and made some GREAT saves! Nothing new though right?

3. Dan Paielle. A goal and an assist tonight.

Thoughts before tonight's game.

1. The last time the Sabres played the Leafs they won 10-1. I was sick and missed it. Clearly it would be amazing if they could mirror that game. Even just a little bit!

2. It would not be amazing for them to mirror their last game. NOT even just a little bit.

3. I wonder who will be in the net tonight? Angry Miller usually means good Miller...we'll see.

4. I hate Leaf fans.

5. Tonight's game is on VS. Those fools might be worse than the leaf fans.

Weekend Ramblings

I haven't had time to blog all weekend so I thought I'd jumble everything together tonight. So sit back, relax, and get ready for a pretty long post written by moi! (Which is pretty rare!)

So let's start with Friday night's game vs. the Sharks. WOW! It's been a LONG time since I've seen the team make a comeback like that. I just about fell off my chair when Pommers tipped in that goal. I was so relieved that the team could pull off a win for the city. What a horrible tragedy for everyone to have to go through. My thoughts and prayers are still with all the victims and those affected. Lindy Ruff had this to say after the game....

"I think, yeah, ever so small, this event turned out to be a positive night," Ruff said. "Though it is a hockey game, it was a good ending. It's a positive feeling. We needed it. I think our fans needed it."

So true. It's kind of like after 9/11 when Saturday Night Live went back on the air. People needed to laugh. People needed to smile. People needed something to forget about life for awhile.

Thank you Sabres for being that distraction. Thank you Ryan Miller for throwing the puck at Milan Michalek after stopping his shot. That sure made me smile!

Saturday was Valentine's Day. I really have nothing to say about this. I have no Valentine. *sigh*

I read a story on http://www.newzjunky.com/ today about a couple that got married in Syracuse yesterday. After the ceremony they donned their SU gear and went to cheer on the team. When SU beat Georgetown they began their normal wedding reception. HOW GREAT IS THAT?! I would totally go to a Sabres game on my wedding day! I've always said I wanted my wedding pictures taken center ice at the arena. Maybe next Valentines Day.......or I'll just have to go with play B.....standing outside Ryan's house playing songs to make him fall in love with me a-la-say anything.

Moving on to tonight's game vs. the Hurricanes. OY! I didn't watch the whole thing but clearly I didn't really miss anything. I watched Miller start the game. I went to eat dinner. Miller was gone. Never a good sign. Seriously I didn't see one thing that I can comment on. Shutouts are great....not when you're on the side with the goose egg! And speaking of Goose, Lindy said he could be ready to play Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Last but not least I'd like to welcome http://www.nhlsnipers.com to my blog roll! VERY cool site so make sure to go check it out!

An Early Valentine

Puck Daddy brought this video to my attention.....

Hahahahaha!!!! The Ladies man has always cracked me up. I'm a fan Adam Burish but my Ladies man vote is going to have to go to Sharpie.

The Sabres take on the Sharks tonight @ HSBC Arena. Buffalo currently sits in 8th place in the East and San Jose is at the top for the West. Joy.
***Paging Thomas Vanek. Thomas Vanek to the ice please.***

We'll see how it goes. After the Ottawa game Ryan was pretty pissed. Lets hope he channels that anger into a win tonight!

Catwalk Pictures

As promised here are my pictures from Catwalk. I've decided not to write a long detailed blog about how amazing the event was. Jill and Caroline have already done a great job with that. (Nice to meet you ladies!) I've said it before but I'm saying it again. Dean and Ryan Miller are about as classy as they come. Not only did they put on a beautiful and fun event, but the money they raised will help so many families and children. The $50,000 donated to Carly's Club was only the tip of the ice burg of what is yet to come from The Steadfast Foundation. I clearly can't wait for Catwalk IIII!!!

Catwalk for Charity Videos

I'm totally late in writing about CFC but I had SUCH an amazing time. I have to be to work soon but I thought I'd share the videos I uploaded so far. I have one more but for some reason it doesn't want to go from my camera to my computer. BOO! So in the meantime, enjoy Drew's lovely drum solo, Ryan and Drew rocking out with the band and a Derek Roy singing like it's his job!

I'll post all of my pictures later.
