This face says it all!

I'm not even going to talk about the "game." Not going to mention how I think Derek Roy spent more ice time on his ass then on his skates or how Vanek is still invisible. Nope. Not going to mention it.

Lets talk post game. First of all, I hated to see Goose on tv his first game back saying he was embarrassed. He was one of the only guys tonight that put forth any effort! I pretty much ignored anything Vanek had to say. (Was he crying?) I LOVED everything Miller had to say tonight. Best quote of the night definitely goes to him! I can't remember the exact quote and the video isn't up yet, but he basically said that guys need to learn to take criticism and not ignore it. He then went on to say how he wasn't calling out certain people and said something along the lines of "THAT was a media event." hahahah fantastic. "They don't show up to get their quotes and get their facts from other people......I'm not going to name names." I think ya already did buddy. Lesson? Don't piss off the goalie! (And from the girly side of me.....how adorable did he look in his toque and hoodie? He looked so cuddly! Clearly I wanted to hug him. Twice.)

There was one ray of sunshine that shown down on this dark display of dismal hockey for me.....

Adam Mair you made everything seem ok. You gave me a small smidgen of hope. Thank you for scoring tonight and letting Goose assist you with that matter. You are climbing higher and higher on my list of Sabre love. Do you have any plans for New Years Eve?

I'm never where I want to be

Tonight I came up from our last Christmas get-together to find this in my in-box....

Way to rub it in that I'm not there Sabres.com! THANKS! I don't know if any of you went tonight, but I'm going to need to know every single detail you can give me about Drew's performance. What songs did they sing? What did he wear? Was he chewing gum like it was his job like he usually does?

I'm sorry I let you down Drew. How could the president of the "Invisible Children" fan club not be present on your big night?! I'm hanging my head in shame. Please still love me tomorrow.

Are you there God?

It's been a pretty long day today and I'm not exactly in the best of moods so I'm going to keep this short tonight.

What was the best part about Friday night for me?

I love those Millers. I'm pretty sure that I couldn't even afford a t-shirt @ The Refinery but I sure did enjoy seeing it. Dean Miller seems like such a cool dad! LoL Other than the sweet Christmas tunes leading into the commercial breaks that's about all I took away from Friday night.

Tonight's game was a little better. I was excited to see YoYo net a goal. It's been awhile. What was even better you ask? Why this very moment right here made the entire game worth watching.....

Are you there God? It's me Jason. This was a great moment in television history people.

Other things that made me happy you ask? Watching Drew Stafford net the game winning goal in the shootout! Do I wish there was never a shootout to begin with? YEP! There shouldn't have even been an OT! I'm talking to you Mr. Roy! But hey....Hooray for Drew! (I still wish I got to see him play with BPO. Anyone going tomorrow night?)

Lastly.....speaking of my love for the Millers, did anyone catch them on the postgame show?! Mrs. Miller was clearly pumped to be on t.v while Mr. Miller stood in the back and tried to blend in. Again, great moments in television.

Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas to one and all! I hope Santa was good to you and you all got to spend the day with the people you love the most!

Yesterday morning we wrapped gifts at the mall to raise money for the American Cancer Society and raised $321 in the 3 hours we were there! Woohoo! Mostly husbands that didn't start shopping til that morning and had to get everything done a.s.a.p. After making a quick stop to AutoZone to replace my windshield wiper that flew off that morning, I headed to church with my family. I always find Christmas Eve service so beautiful. At the end of church every year everyone lights a candle and we sing "Silent Night." I cried....I cry every single year. When I came home I took some quick pictures of our Christmas trees before I went to bed. Kind of blurry but you get the idea.

Here's my Sabres tree. All blue and gold ornaments and the few Sabres ones I have. Blue and gold lights complete with Sabretooth as the topper!

This is the skinny tree as I like to call it. Red glass ornaments and silver beaded garland with sleigh bells and some snowflakes mixed in.

This is the big tree. This Christmas tree has all of the family ornaments. My Grammie used to by my sister and I an ornament every year. It's also topped with the sweet angel I made in Preschool. LoL Can you tell we like Christmas yet?

Here's my room with my tiny little tree and some lights in the window.

Speaking of Santa being good to everyone, he sure was good to me!

I tried to group everything close together so I could get a picture. I think my favorite gift this year was XM radio for my car. Hooray! I also really like my new pink purse. It's handmade and has a matching wallet. And check out those yellow boots! LOVE them!

I also feel I must explain the following gift from my sister.....

Yeah that's a picture of me and Ryan Miller in a manger. LoL My family has really stupid humor. There's this movie called "Welcome to the Dollhouse" and it's pretty much one of the dumbest movies I've ever watched. But do we have it on dvd? Sure do! It's just a "stupid funny" kind of movie about this girl in jr. high that's a total geek. Kind of like "Napoleon Dynamite." Anyway....check out the trailer at about 40 seconds in and then you can understand that my sister is nuts....and I love her.

Now that you think me and my family are all certifiably insane, I'd like to wish you all a Merry Christmas again!

Boxes wrapped with String

So I spent the better part of my day wrapping the rest of my mom's Christmas presents. I love wrapping. Every gift I wrap gets matching ribbon and a bow. I was pretty pumped she decided I could finish hers of for her.

Nothing much to say about last night's game. It's safe to say I still hate the crown jewel with all of my might. And wouldn't you just figure that it HAD to be him to score in OT? I don't know about you guys but I hate OT losses more than anything.Plus the game was on vs. just to top off the awesomeness. For some reason the announcers found it necessary to mention ethnicity last night? "German born Hecht has the puck in the corner. Lydman the fin passes the puck." WTF was that about? Lame. Hockey Central my boo-tay!

Thomas Vanek you didn't listen to me. Where are you?

On a happy note......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AL!!!!!! The big 30! That's quite a few candles my friend. No worries buddy. You don't look a day over 25! Hugs!

I'm off to bed early tonight. Tomorrow morning I'm gift wrapping to raise money for Relay for Life......at 8am. I'll be wearing pajamas to do so.

Christmas Vacation Day 1

This is officially my first day of Christmas vacation!!! No dance classes for 2 weeks! WOOOHOOOO!!!! Not that I don't love my job but I'm TOTALLY pumped to veg out for awhile.
So I've decided that I'm going to blog everyday of my vacation. I've been pretty lazy lately so I'm really going to catch up with you guys! Plus there's so much snow here that you can't get out to do much else!

In Catwalk for Charity news.....I got an email yesterday reinforcing that the event was 21 and over only and that they will be checking your photo i.d at the door. So everyone that I said "maybe you could sneak in" to I'm taking that back. Annnnnnd I got so excited that I already bought my dress. I'm trying to decide if I want to post a picture of it or not? However, it's chocolate brown and totally perfect! Now I must start accessorizing it!

Sabres-wise.....how pumped was I about the 5-0 win and another shoot-out for Ryan this year?! It's games like that where I'm always sitting at home thinking, "wow....why didn't I buy tickets for this game?" Another thing I'm excited about? Lil' Roy! Clearly someone has defiantly got behind #9 because he is on fire! More power to ya Derek! Keep it up!
Can someone please tell me though.....has Thomas Vanek become invisible? I'm counting on you TV to pull off something big against the crown jewel and happy feets tonight!

Lastly.....

Why is it that every time Ronan comes to sing with the BPO they announce that my favorite Sabres will be playing with him 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE SHOW?!?! WHY?!?!?! Maybe Santa will bring me tickets to go see Drew Stafford rock out with the orchestra? Secretly I want him to walk out on that stage with the wig and the mustache. I wonder why Ryan ins't playing this year too? Probably staying home to watch "Christmas Vacation" again?
